ExLine consists of two module types depending on the type of signal transmitted from the ExSens probe. The module is located in the safe area or in Zone 2 (versions powered by 120–230 V AC in the safe area only), the probe in Zone 1 or 2 (…2G3D types also in Zone 22).
| Model | Function | Input | Output | Channels |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EXL-IM-9182 | Temperature transmitter | Pt100/Pt500/Pt1000/Ni100/thermocouple, 0–1000 Ω resistance transmitter | 0/4–20 mA | 1 or 2 |
| EXL-IR-9170 | Switching repeater | Passive contact / NAMUR switch | Relay / electronic output | 1 or 2 |
What the model designation means
Analogue temperature transmitter – input from a passive probe, 0/4–20 mA output.
Switching repeater – input from a passive contact, output as a relay contact or electronic (transistor) output.
Terminal type: screw (s) or spring-clamp (k).
Ex nAc nCc [ia] IIC T4 – certification for the temperature transmitter.
Ex nA nC [ia Ga] IIC T4 Gc – certification for the switching repeater.
International IECEx certification for use outside the EU.
International IECEx certification for the switching repeater.
