What this website does not do

it does not use cookies or similar technologies for advertising or cross-site tracking,
it has no registration, forms or newsletter – we do not actively collect any data from you,
it loads fonts and icons from its own server, not from Google Fonts or other CDNs.

Visitor analytics

To help us improve the website, we measure traffic using the Umami Cloud service, with data stored on servers in the European Union. Umami does not use cookies and does not store your IP address or any other data by which you could be identified. It distinguishes individual visits only by means of an anonymous fingerprint that changes regularly and cannot be used to trace back who you are.

We record the pages visited, where you came to the website from, the type of device and browser, the country, and clicks on contact details, document downloads and links to other websites. We see the results only in aggregate form and keep the statistics for 6 months. The processor is Umami Software, Inc., with data stored in the EU. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Server logs

As with any website, the server automatically records technical data about requests (IP address, time, requested page and browser type). This data is used solely to ensure the operation and security of the website and is kept only for as long as strictly necessary. The processor is the web hosting provider. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contacting us by e-mail or telephone

If you contact us, we will use your data only to deal with your query or, where applicable, to negotiate an order. For enquiries and orders, the legal basis is the negotiation and performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); for other queries, it is our legitimate interest in dealing with them (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep e-mail correspondence for the time needed to deal with the query and for the duration of any resulting business relationship.

Links to other websites

Downloadable documents are stored on the manufacturer’s (Rotork) servers, and some links lead to the bolasystems.com website or other websites. Once you go to these sites, the processing of data is governed by the policies of their operators.
