ExBin / RedBin / InBin.

Binary (switching) transmitter in three versions: ExBin for Zones 1, 2, 21, 22, RedBin for the less stringent Zones 2 and 22, InBin for standard non-hazardous areas. Potential-free contact for pressure, frost protection and temperature/humidity.

ExBin-P – binary pressure sensor for potentially explosive atmospheres

ExBin-D requires a separate ExPro-B probe (temperature/humidity) – only 1 probe can be connected to one transmitter. ExBin-A evaluates max. 2 external switching sensors.

Designation overview

What the designations and zone variants mean

ExBin-P

Binary (switching) pressure sensor – unlike ExCos-P, it has no modulating output, only a contact.

ExBin-FR

Frost protection of heat exchangers, capillary sensor along the fins.

ExBin-A

Switching (isolating) module – allows passive intrinsically safe sensors (TBR, FBR, DBK…) to be connected without the need for a separate Ex-i barrier in the control cabinet.

ExBin-D

Requires an ExPro-B probe (sold separately, max. 1 per transmitter).

RedBin

The same transmitter for Zone 2/22, less stringent category (II 3(1) G/D).

InBin

Version for standard environments (NOT intended for potentially explosive atmospheres), paired with InPro-B.
